On Stream.ru you can legally watch movies and TV shows. Old movies are free. Latest movies are available for rent or purchase. Stream has been broadcasting movies on the Internet and on smart TVs. We’ve created an app which allows to watch Stream content on mobile devices.
We have been constantly developing Stream apps since 2011. We released first iPad app version in two weeks from a scratch. It broadcasted only free movies. We were constantly increasing app functionality, exploring the movie selling business and embracing new platforms. In 2013 we launched final app versions.
The main goal is to sell
The app’s major purpose is to make users buy or rent movies. They can also subscribe to the movie catalog
The subscription is valid for a month and allows to watch 40% of the movie collection. AppStore, Google Play and Windows Store are designed in different ways. Therefore we’ve implemented different sales patterns and payment methods for each platform. For example, you can’t rent movies through the iOS app, but you can subscribe to the movie catalogue. The app will charge your bank account automatically. In the Android app you can pay for movies using in-app purchase or SMS. In the Windows Phone app you can only use SMS payments.
Multiscreen
Users can watch Stream content on the internet, on smart TVs and mobile devices. Movies are broadcasted synchronously on all your devices. You can start watching a movie on your iPad and then switch to your smart TV and continue to watch from where you stopped. Or you can use your iPhone to search for movies and watch them later on your iPad.

You can download movies to your devices and watch them offline later.
